Qalam Nigar X The Framers
nikkah pen price in pakistan

Nikkah pens in Pakistan typically run from around PKR 990 up to about PKR 2,490, depending on the style, materials, and how much detailing goes into it. Simpler handmade or dip designs sit toward the lower end. Metal pens with gold calligraphy or gem work, and more elaborate jute or handmade pieces, land toward the top. That’s the short answer. Here’s what actually moves the number up or down.

What affects the price

Materials. This is the biggest factor by far. A metal pen with gold plating and gem detailing costs more to make than a simpler dip-style pen, and that difference shows up in the price. Jute pens with layered floral work also tend to run higher than a basic design in the same collection.

How much detailing is involved. Within any one collection, the simplest design and the most elaborate one can be a few hundred rupees apart. Extra flowers, additional ribbon work, multiple accent colors: all of it adds production time, and production time is most of what you’re paying for with a handmade product.

Personalization. Good news here: engraving a name or “Qabool Hai” is included at no extra cost on most of our designs. You don’t need to budget separately for that part.

Shipping speed. This is where people sometimes get caught off guard, because it’s separate from the pen’s price. Standard nationwide delivery is PKR 350 flat. If you need it faster, express delivery is available across Pakistan for an additional PKR 2,000, cutting delivery time down to roughly 1–3 days after your design is approved instead of the standard window.

Typical price by style

Style Typical Range
Handmade Nikkah Pens PKR 990–1,990
Dip Nikkah Pens around PKR 1,690
Metal Nikkah Pens PKR 990–1,790
Jute Nikkah Pens PKR 1,490–1,990

Worth noting: no single collection is uniformly “the cheap one” or “the expensive one.” The specific design matters more than which of the four categories it’s in. A simple metal pen can cost less than an elaborate jute one, and vice versa. If budget is the main thing you’re working around, it’s worth browsing across all four rather than ruling any of them out upfront.

How payment actually works

We ask for a 50% advance payment before production starts. That’s what confirms the order and gets your pen into the queue. The remaining balance is due on delivery, paid Cash on Delivery. Advance payment can be made via Bank Transfer, EasyPaisa, or JazzCash. Because every pen is made to order rather than pulled off a shelf, that advance is what actually kicks off the handcrafting process, so it’s not just a formality.

Is it worth paying more for a pricier design?

Depends what you’re optimizing for. If the pen’s mainly a functional part of the ceremony and won’t get much attention afterward, a simpler design in any collection does the job perfectly well. If you’re planning to keep it as a long-term keepsake, or it’s going to be front-and-center in your Nikkah photos, the extra detailing on a higher-end piece tends to show up more in the final pictures than people expect. Neither choice is wrong. It’s really about what you want the pen to do for you.

A quick note on timing

Because these are handcrafted and made to order, prices don’t fluctuate the way, say, produce prices do, but availability and lead time can. Ordering closer to your Nikkah date doesn’t cost more, but it does narrow your options if a specific design needs more production time. If budget is tight and you’re comparing options, giving yourself a few extra weeks of lead time costs nothing and keeps every design on the table.
